Vicious Animal on a Plane
Miami-Dade County Animal Services has been alerted to a dangerous animal recently carried on-board an American Airlines flight from Miami to San Francisco on March 7th. The miniature pinscher growled at other first class passengers and eventually attacked a female flight attendant; biting her in the face.

Passenger Name: [Temporarily Withheld]
Airline: American Airlines
Date: March 7
Origin: Miami
Destination: San Francisco
Seat: 4H (later switched to 4J)
Update: We will release information on the dog owner later this week— stay tuned.
The dog, named Cosmo, reportedly jumped up and bit the flight attendant who was serving the owner her breakfast. The woman traveling with the dog, who is a Miami resident, was seated in a first class window seat of the 767-300 jet after she had changed seats with another passenger.
The other passenger, originally seated at the window seat, stated that Cosmo’s owner had urged her to switch seats so she could sit away from the aisle seat with the dog to avoid having it get ‘excited’.
Following the incident the passenger claimed the flight attendant had provoked the dog attack and refused to speak to the crew for the rest of the flight.
Flight Attendant Receives Medical Attention
According to our sources, the attack left red marks on the flight attendant’s nose and face but did not break the skin. The crew member received medical attention and was given a tetanus shot.
We understand, through an anonymous source, that the passenger is scheduled to fly again with the animal on a flight this week and will certainly be providing an update.
Irresponsibility Ruins it for Others
Airlines and the traveling public have come to understand how much emotional support animals assist travelers who suffer from a variety of issues related to stress and anxiety. Unfortunately, there is a small segment of travelers who choose to fly with animals unsuitable to serve in an emotional support function. In some cases these less socialized animals, who’ve been irresponsibly brought onboard flights, cause disturbances and even injury to passengers and crew during flights.
